DIY Portland

Published by ADQ at 12:59 am under On the Radio

DIY (Do It Yourself) is not just a fad–it’s become an ethos for a lot of people, young and old, who want to scale back consumerism and rediscover the real satisfaction that comes with making, building, creating, growing and living their lives, instead of paying someone else to do it.

In the spirit of DIY comes the popular radio show and podcast, DIY, Portland. Not only is it about DIY living, but the show itself is the essence of DIY ethos. Creator and host, Julie Sabatier is a full-time radio DJ who decided to write and produce her own show on the side. Covering every subject under the sun from food and drink to art to education and even birth and death–Julie and her team are bringing their humor and talent to this hip and fun radio show.

You can visit their official website Destination DIY to read Julie’s blog, hear podcasts of the show, see photos and find out more about how to do things yourself.

Hi and thanks for the generous plug! I wish I was a fulltime radio DJ, but actually I’m an assistant producer for a local radio talk show.
    best,
