The death-knoll for the established music industry is getting louder and louder. When you have established artists like Reznor and Radiohead walking away from their labels’ “golden handcuffs” to produce their own music, that’s a pretty good sign that the indie scene is gathering much needed momentum. A creative revolution is upon us.

Check out this spot from NPR featuring Reznor’s new album, Ghosts I-IV. You can listen to the NPR report as well as some of the music here.

If you haven’t heard Reznor since Nine Inch Nails broke on to the scene in the early 90’s, you’ll be surprised to see the evolution of his art. It’s sophisticated but still edgy, and now that he’s got 100% creative control there’s no stopping him.
